CHARLESTON – Cabell County and the City of Huntington will appeal last month's federal verdict for the nation's three largest drug distributors. Attorneys for Cabell County and Huntington filed the notice of appeal August 2, just a day after the companies – AmerisourceBergen, Cardinal Health and McKesson – signed a $400 million settlement with more than 100 other West Virginia cities and counties. "Huntington remains resilient in the face of this adverse court decision from a month ago, and we intend to take full advantage of the process provided in our judicial system," Mayor Steve Williams told The West Virginia Record.
